The main objective of Laser Visuals Research Limited is to help increase laser safety in entertainment where laser effects are used, through the use of education, services, and safety products. The company successfully combines skills from a range of software and hardware disciplines, with laser safety theory, and a practical knowledge of working in display situations.

The company’s laser safety principal is James Stewart. James has over 17 years of experience, gained from an active involvement in the laser display industry through Laser Visuals Limited. James is also an active member of ILDA’s Laser Safety Committee, where he participates in improving safety practices in the industry. In addition to the European safety standards, James also has a good understanding of the American ANSI and CDRH standards, and has taken the time out to visit the United States and successfully attained the Board of Laser Safety Certified Laser Safety Officer (CLSO) examination.

Laser Visuals Research was awarded with a prestigious government DTI Smart Award, to allow research into scanned laser emissions analysis to take place. Laser Visuals Research intend to use some of the valuable findings of the study to produce future products that will increase safety in the laser display industry.
